GLO₂ began with a simple idea: hydration could be more than something you do because you're thirsty.
It could be a moment.
“GLO” came from a feeling — vitality, movement, sunlight, feeling well and enjoying where you are.
“O₂” came to represent breath. Not as a product claim, but as a symbol: take a breath, pause for a moment, and actually notice where you are before moving on with your day.
Together, GLO₂ became an expression of the philosophy behind everything we create:
Morning Already Has Its Rituals
Coffee brewing. Breakfast. Movement. A few quiet minutes. The first meeting of the day.
GLO₂ was never meant to replace those moments. It was designed to belong naturally among them.
Coffee helped inspire the philosophy behind GLO₂ — it already has ritual built around it: the cup, the aroma, the few quiet minutes before the day properly starts. The question became: why couldn't hydration have a moment like that too, alongside whatever ritual someone already has?
Where It Started
A few years ago, I became deeply interested in health, performance, longevity and hydration — training hard and trying almost every electrolyte product I could find.
Something was missing. I wanted a drink I would genuinely look forward to, not just tolerate because it was good for me. So I started experimenting — adjusting the formulation, mineral system, acidity and flavour, pairing it with things I was already doing: coffee, quiet time, breathwork, recovery.
That became what we call Ritual Pairing. It didn't begin in a marketing meeting. It began because it was how I actually built hydration into my own life.
Building the Flavour
My background in flavour development meant I approached GLO₂ differently from the start. I didn't want one loud flavour that disappeared — I wanted progression. A beginning, a middle, an end. Notes that reveal themselves as you drink, distinct enough to notice, balanced enough that none overwhelms the whole.
The flavours are about balance in the glass. GLO₂ is about balance in the moment.
A Different Kind of Hydration Experience
GLO₂ is built around a carefully considered multi-form electrolyte system — our Triple-Stage Electrolyte Complex™ — but formulation was only one part of what I wanted to solve. The other was experience.
Marine collagen contributes to the distinctive body and texture of the finished drink, while the flavour architecture is built in layers rather than single notes. Not simply “this tastes good for an electrolyte,” but “wait — what am I tasting?”
Ritual, Not Discipline
People rarely need another thing they're supposed to do. That's why hydration is paired with things people already enjoy — coffee, movement, travel, a quiet moment outside, a spa.
The ritual was never ours to own. It already belonged to you. GLO₂ simply pairs with it.
Why GLO₂ Looks Different
Most hydration products speak the language of sport — bold, technical, performance-first. I wanted GLO₂ to feel more considered, closer to premium skincare and hospitality than a conventional sports supplement. A Japanese-influenced design language — restraint, simplicity, balance, attention to detail — helped express that feeling, though the flavours and their concepts (Pulse, Elevate, Radiate) came first, the Japanese names after.
The Standard
There's one rule behind GLO₂: I won't release something I wouldn't genuinely choose myself. The standard was never “is this good enough for an electrolyte product?” It was “would I reach for this when nobody was watching?”
The Pause
So much of the day happens on autopilot. GLO₂ was built to create a tiny interruption to that — not a grand transformation, just a pause. A few seconds to hydrate, take a breath, notice where you are.
That's what “Begin with purpose” means. GLO₂ isn't telling anybody what their purpose should be. It's an invitation to remember their own.
The Product Is Hydration. The Purpose Is the Pause.
None of these ideas were created independently and stitched together afterward. The flavour, the ritual, the visual language, the name — they gradually pointed toward the same philosophy.
Take your time. Notice the details. Enjoy the moment. Then move forward with intention.
The product is hydration.
The purpose is the pause.
